As a Legal Advisor, you will work closely with the Senior Legal & Regulatory Manager, contributing to the establishment of the legal framework that aligns with Coreso’s strategic goals. Your responsibilities will span from managing contracts with a proactive and process-driven approach to providing legal guidance on purchasing contracts, ensuring compliance with public procurement obligations, providing support with the preparation and follow-up of meetings of Board of directors and dedicated working groups.

Your role as a Legal Advisor exists of the following responsibilities: 

• Under the guidance of the Senior Legal & Regulatory Manager, you will be an essential contributor in building the legal department and translate Coreso’s strategy into legal plans.
• You will be in charge of ensuring effective management of contracts, by ensuring a well-structured and proactive process driven approach.
• Support the business with standardization of purchasing contracts and legal guidance and training to ensure compliance with Coreso’s public procurement obligations.
• Follow up on legislative updates relevant to Coreso’s business and inform your colleagues.
• Support on ensuring compliance with GDPR requirements.
• You will assist the Senior Legal & Regulatory Manager in specific areas, including delivering legal advice to different legal questions, interactions with Coreso’s stakeholders in view of its regulated tasks and support in standardization of sales contracts and support to the role of Corporate Secretary.

Who are we looking for?

• You hold a Master’s degree in Belgian Law,
• Possess 3-5 years experience as a lawyer and/or as an in-house legal counsel.
• Prior experience in the energy or another regulated sector is a plus
• Demonstrate proficiency in both English (written/spoken) and French
• Exhibit qualities of pragmatism, autonomy, and structured work approach.
• Capable of collaborating with diverse stakeholders with varying backgrounds.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems, proposing creative solutions while being mindful of associated risks.
• Display resilience, patience, and curiosity as valuable attributes.
