Job description
We are currently looking for a PMO Lead to enforce our centralized PMO department.
Your new career in Coreso
As PMO Lead, you play a central role in strengthening how projects are structured, coordinated and governed across Coreso in a complex environment where initiatives span Operations, IT and Service Development within a European power system context.
You combine hands-on involvement with coordination and expert input, contributing to the development and continuous improvement of Coreso’s PMO governance and project management methodology. Working closely with Project Managers, department heads and senior stakeholders, you help translate agreed governance into practical standards, tools and ways of working that support consistent project delivery across the organisation.
By consolidating portfolio information and ensuring structured project follow-up together with Project Managers, you provide clear visibility on progress, risks, dependencies and resource usage across the organisation. Your work supports Steering Committees, the Management Team and C-level in making informed decisions, while helping reduce siloed execution and strengthen alignment across departments as the PMO function continues to mature.
Job requirements
Your role as a PMO exists of the following responsibilities:
Coordinate the PMO function and ensure a consistent, hands-on approach to project governance across the organisation.
Act as a central partner to Project Managers, supporting them in structuring, planning and delivering projects in line with Coreso’s project management framework.
Contribute expert input to the development and evolution of Coreso’s PMO governance and project management methodology.
Translate agreed governance into practical standards, templates and ways of working used by Project Managers and departments.
Ensure a common project baseline is applied across scope, budgets, resources, milestones and reporting.
Support and challenge Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring risks, dependencies and delivery constraints are identified and addressed.
Consolidate project and portfolio information into clear portfolio views for Steering Committees, MT and C-level.
Strengthen alignment between OPS, IT and Service Development through improved visibility and coordination across projects.
Oversee the effective use of PMO tools, reporting and standards, and drive continuous improvement in project delivery practices.
Who are we looking for?
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business, project management or a related field. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
10+ years of experience in a Project Management Office or project management role, ideally in a complex organisational environment.
Strong understanding of project governance, methodologies and delivery practices, with experience supporting multiple projects or portfolios.
Solid knowledge of project management tools and reporting environments; advanced Excel and experience with Power BI or Tableau are assets.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with Project Managers, department leads and senior stakeholders.
Analytical, well organised and collaborative, with the ability to maintain oversight across multiple initiatives and guide Project Managers in structured project delivery.
